Together with our wonderful volunteers and coaches, these are the people that help Angling Unlimited deliver on our mission and values...
Pete James, Project Coordinator
Phil Stevenson, Administrator and Company Secretary
Tessa Mitchell, Chair and Director
With a degree in Social Policy and Social Work from the University of Birmingham, Tess has had a varied career within the public and charity sectors. Tess joined Angling Unlimited in 2009 and is passionate about the work we do to combat isolation, foster engagement and improve health and wellbeing. "We are a very small local charity and every year when we review our achievements and impact, I feel a real sense of pride. Our dedicated staff and volunteers make a real difference to the lives of so many people".
Keith Scrivens, Trustee
Keith joined us as a Trustee in June 2012. He has over forty years experience in sales, marketing & general management both in the UK & export markets.
He retired as a Magistrate in August 2016, having sat for nearly 25 years in the local Adult and Family Courts. He enjoys a day’s fishing but more as a form of relaxation and meditation rather than competition. Much time is also spent working on his garden railway and trying, not too successfully, to grow vegetables in an attempt to become more self-sufficient.
Carl Nicholls, Trustee
Carl has been a Trustee since 2008. He is also the Fisheries Manager for the Canal and Rivers Trust. Carl credits his Dad for introducing him to fishing, "spending a lot of my childhood with my dad and brother fishing together and giving me a taste for a career in fisheries".
Bill Rice, Trustee
Bill has recently joined as a Trustee in 2018 and has lived in the local area for over 40 years. He hopes that, as a Trustee, he will have the power to help, shape and encourage the use of angling to promote the wellbeing of children and young people, to join in and have opportunities they would otherwise not be able to accomplish.
